COBAIN

September 20, 2006 at 2:34 am (Music News)

KURT COBAIN turned down a small part in QUENTIN TARANTINO’s PULP FICTION, according to the late rocker’s wife COURTNEY LOVE.
The NIRVANA frontman was lined up to appear alongside Love in the 1994 movie.
Cobain would have starred as a drug dealer, while Love would have played his heavily-pierced girlfriend. The roles were eventually taken by ERIC STOLTZ and ROSANNA ARQUETTE.
Love says, “If Kurt had survived we’d be taking private jets by now. He’d have loved that.”
Cobain committed suicide in April 1994.

Gee thanks court 16 YEARS LATER!!!!!!!!!

CD Review Hinder

September 20, 2006 at 12:43 am (CD, Music Reviews, Rock)

Ahh now for the 3rd installment of CD Review. Hinder time!!!!!!!! This 2nd fresh new group whose cd I got for 8.00 via itunes it’s a steal.

Get stoned-their 1st track, 1st single, 1st cd, I like it as a lead off single.

how long sounds like a radio friendly song about the angst in a relationship. And too see the guy go through pain.

By the way is a slow one..watching her go away….cause she didn’t have it have it her way..

nothing good about goodbye is I feel a 3rd single or 4th…about every clichéd goodbye

two more noteable songs

Lips of angel 2nd single…guy with a girl but has one on the side

Homecoming queen-this is my fave song on the record…just listen to it that’s all im sayin

anyone listening

September 20, 2006 at 12:40 am (Orginals, Uncategorized)

Visor shot down

No one looking into the mirror

Wonder what their future’s like

Without them now

Life came fast

Smack boom bam

He was a wreck

Turned and pray

Is n e one listening to me

Anyone listening to what I have to say

Am I a bore

Why am  I here

Anyone listening

As he sat on the park bench

Clearing his head

He thought of death

Wouldn’t bring him closer

To what he had

Time to go away

September 20, 2006 at 12:26 am (Orginals, Songs)

Rolling down into a wave of fire

Just can’t control it

Not till the storm rolls over

Just don’t seem like it happening

At least right now

Only saw you a while

Yet it was ok

You had problems

And I had mine too

Time to go away

Go be happy

Finding your footing

In this place called life

Cause it always changes

Time to go away

Phase

September 10, 2006 at 3:56 am (Orginals, Songs)

How is it alright
For us to think the same
Im not as young or stupid as you
For me to give a shit
I dont need to be on your level bitch
You messed up your life
But you think

Its a phase

You state that I care
I do
But not for you to destroy it
You boy is a jock
Woman sometime you want me back
Only when you are done doing him
End result you think is
You dream
Thatll be there
I wont

But you think
Its a phase

Pearl Jam self titled review

September 10, 2006 at 3:55 am (Music Reviews, Rock)

Pearl Jam returns after four years with their self-titled record. I thought riot act was there best work. Now, I may have to rethink that.

Life wasted-7.5/10 I like this song but its way too repetitive, but it shows the band to say hey we are back and better than ever!!!!

World wide suicide-10/10 Quite Frankly the first best track on the CD. Reminds me a lot of there 1st two cds.

Comatose- 8/10 starts off feeling like petty. feeling rising is the best line. This is one of those song thatll kick ya in the a**. And make the sex pistols proud.

Severed Hand 8.5/10 2nd best song on the cd has a classic rock feel to it which I like

Marker in the sand 7/10 one of the slowest songs on the CD.

Parachutes 8.1/10 the slowest song on the CD, very hippie like, reminds me of a beatles song.

Unemployable 8.9/10 short to the point would make a good 2nd single

Big Wave -9/10 Repetitive but awesome song

Gone 7.9/10 Good song 2nd fave slow song by them to betterman

Wasted reprise 8.5/10

Army Reserve 9/10 Song that rocks

Come back 8.6/10 3rd fave slow song

Inside Job 7.9/10

Overall 8.4/10

I must admit the more I listen to the cd the more I like it

Hoobastank “Every Man For Himself” Review

September 10, 2006 at 3:55 am (Music Reviews, Pop, Rock, iTunes)

Hoobastank comes back in 2006 after its multiple platinum sophomore release The Reason, with Every Man for Himself, a much more mature record. Along with that the bassist left or got fired. Now they travel as a trio like Creed, Bon Jovi, and countless others and a have a traveling bassist.

The Rules- 5/10 spoken word (I always end up disliking these type of tracks)

Born to Lead -7.5/10 A breath of fresh air, deep lyrics, but part of it sounds synthized. Simple chords, nice lead off song. The music video for this is on myspace.

Moving Forward -8.9/10 1st best song off record. Everyone can relate to this song, love the journey influence. Reminds me of a lot of myself and things in my past.

Inside of You-7.5/10 Short, somehow with the line what do I have to do to get inside of you. Makes me think of sex, im just sayin. I love the horn section in this track.

The First of Me – 8.8/10 2nd best song on the record. This song is not following people in their footsteps. Be Yourself, dont let stuff stand in your way. I like this number.

Good Enough 6.2/10 This track is just not grooving with me.

If I were you 7.3/10 Ok, first single, hints of Mr. Tinkertrain from Ozzy in the beginning. I think this track was written about Scott Weiland, whom they toured with last year. This is semi power ballad.

Without a fight 8.9/10 3rd best song on record. this could be our time. Great set opener

Dont Tell me 7.1/10 this song has too many changes within itself. However the best line is Just shut your mouth

Look Where We Are 7.5/10 starts off Jivy but thats it

Say the same 7.9/10 I like the lyrics, but there are so many songs along those lines. Reminds me of someone im friends with again. I dont like the bridge.

If only 7.0/10 I should have written this one if only I had one more shot. If only I had you.

More than a memory 6.9/10 whats up with the flute.

Overall 8.9/10
